

The Brooklyn native moved to Dongan Hills with his family in 1964, when he was 17.
A graduate of New Dorp High School, Mr. Baboulis earned a bachelor's degree in history from C.W. Post College of Long Island University He received a master's degree in accounting from St. John's University, Grymes Hill.
A certified public accountant for more than 35 years, he operated his own firm, Krauss and Baboulis, in Manalapan, N.J.
Mr. Baboulis volunteered as a hockey coach at Monsignor Farrell High School.
A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing and watching all sports. He also enjoyed traveling and fishing. But his favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Baboulis was a parishioner of Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Bulls Head.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Elise Parathiras; his son, Christopher; his daughter, Stephanie Perez, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with the liturgy at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
