
Cherished husband, father, and son, tugboat crew member
Harry Hernandez, 56, died March 12, 2016.
Visitation is Tuesday, March 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Harmon Funeral Home. The funeral is Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial in Moravian Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on May 3, 1959, Harry lived in the Bronx and Staten Island. He was a Merchant Mariner, Seaman, and Bosun who worked for the U.S.Navy.
He was a loving, generous, courageous, funny man who was always considerate of others. He will be remembered as an amazing husband and father; an only son whose mother worshipped and adored him, and a great son-in-law. Harry loved his motorcycles and salsa music. He died in a tugboat crash on the Hudson River.
Harry is survived by his wife, Yirda Hernandez; son, Harry Hernandez Jr., and parents, Ana Bermudez and Julio Hernandez.
