

Born in Brooklyn, the former Janet Napolitano grew up in South Beach and graduated from Curtis High School and St. Vincent's School of Nursing. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the College of Staten Island.
She and Frederick (Fritz) Jensen wed in 1986 and had lived in Eltingville for 27 years.
Mrs. Jensen was a registered nurse for 35 years at the former St. Vincent's Medical Center, now Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton. She worked in several departments including the stepdown and neonatal units, and most recently in the cardiac catheterization lab.
She volunteered for the March of Dimes and the Steven Siller Tunnel-to-Towers Run.
Mrs. Jensen was a parishioner of St. Clare's R.C. Church, Great Kills.
She enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with her family.
"She really loved going to Disney World, and was planning on going again this October," said Frederick, her husband of 27 years.
Also surviving are her son, Adam; her daughter, Andrea; her stepdaughters, Patricia Galeno and Allison Roselli; a brother, Thomas Napolitano; two sisters, Joan Feliciano and Judith Zuckerman, and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
