

Beloved brother and uncle
John Patrick Santangelo, 56, passed away April 29, 2020 from complications of dementia.
John was born in Brooklyn in 1963. He lived with his family until the age of 32 when he moved into Charter House, a private group home run by the Guild for Exceptional Children. John attended the Guild nursery school at four years old, attended public school, and worked in the Guild's workshop for many years.
John led a very happy, independent, and active life. He loved bowling, swimming, and annual vacations with his Guild family at a dude ranch in Lake George. Most of all, John loved music and dancing. Once he got started he never wanted to leave the dance floor. He loved watching musicals and socializing with his peers at Charter House and always looked forward to spending holidays with his family.
John is survived by his devoted sister, Rosanne, and her loving husband, Charles. He was a cherished brother of the late Richard Santangelo and loving brother-in-law to Donna. He was a loving brother to Patricia Moe and brother-in-law to John. He was the beloved son of the late Patrick and Mary Santangelo. John was a cherished uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
John will be reposed at a private service at Casey Funeral Home on Saturday, with a burial at Greenwood Cemetary.
A memorial tribute Mass to celebrate John's life will be held at a later date. The family expresses their heartfealt thanks for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers throughout this difficult time.
