

Joe was born September 21, 1948, in Manhattan to Joseph & Louise, and lived in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
Joe served in the US Army 101st Airborne division during the Vietnam War.
He earned a GED while serving in the military and then went on to earn his Bachelors Degree from CSI, and Masters Degree in Accounting & Taxation from St. John’s University. Joe was a founding member of Karpicki & Zanelotti Assoc., an income tax practice that he owned with his partner, Frank Karpicki.
Joe is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janice (nee Karpicki) Zanelotti, and his many brothers and sisters through marriage, David Hart, Martha & Charles Hampton, Joan Lane, Frank & Eileen Karpicki, and Kathy Cotter. Joe also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & friends.
Joe enjoyed visits from his family, especially his nieces and nephews so he could tease and spoil them. He had a huge heart and loved nothing more than spending time with all his family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home located at 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A Funeral Services with be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday July 16, 2022 at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home located at 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. Entombment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated by the family.
