

Loving wife and mother, professional ballroom dancer
June Estelle Rudiger (nee Sellitti) passed away on Nov. 7, 2017. A native New Yorker, she was born and raised on Staten Island. She attended New Dorp High School on Staten Island and Ypsalanti College in Michigan.
In the 1950s, June was a professional ballroom dancer, dancing mainly on the resort circuits in Florida and Michigan. She was an instructor for Fred Astaire Dance Studios, and was also lead dancer in the production for the year long celebration of Staten Island's Tercentennial in 1961.
Married the same year, she later became an executive secretary working for various firms in Manhattan, retiring in 1975 to become a full time mother and housewife.
June spent many happy hours grooming her maltese, Precious Jackie O., who she dearly loved.
Very religious and caring, she was often sought after by her son's many friends for prayers, advice and direction. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
June is survived by her husband, Edward, and son, Edward, Jr. Siblings include Mary Pietracola, and her late brother, Joseph Sellitti.
Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home, Staten Island, N.Y.
