

She was born in Manhattan, the daughter of Arthur and Nora Robinson, and raised in the Bronx by her mother and step-father Padraig Burke. She was a graduate of James Monroe High School, and always reminded people that it was the alma mater of baseball stars Hank Greenberg and Ed Kranepool. She moved to Staten Island in 1964, and resided in Annadale for 61 years, and a was a devoted parishioner of St. Margaret Mary in Midland Beach, Staten Island.
Kathleen was married to William J. Gaynor, Jr. for over 31 years. He was an FDNY Fire Marshall,who died in 1986. Following his death, she returned to work, as the last receptionist for the N.Y.C. Board of Estimate from 1987 to its dissolution.
She enjoyed her retirement years, making annual trips to Cape Cod for almost 20 years, driving herself and her daughter, who was her navigator. An avid Met fan, they spent many days at Shea Stadium and Citifield, and was proud to have attended National League playoffs game and the 1973 World Series, Tom Seaver's Hall of Fame induction, and the 2013 All Star Game at Citifield. She also loved attending Stars on Ice and many Broadway plays .
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Claire, and cousins Roberta Sherlock, Monsignor Kenneth Boccafola, Adele Hoffman, and Owen Rynn, and Mary Burke in Ireland.
