Aunt Lill was and always will be an  inspiration that warmed my  soul. 
I can still here her voice and see her face when she opened the door and welcomed me in.  
" How's about a nice cup of coffee"  She was my godmother and favorite Aunt. When I called her on the phone she would say " Is this my favorite godchild Miss Rosie" We shared many good times over the years and also very sad and trying  times. 
Today I'm grateful that we will be together again. 
I look forward to a nice cup of coffee with her!

Dear Mom,

Its been quite a journey. One I would never change. You filled my life and the lives of many others with your loving and caring ways.

You taught me how important family is and I am so grateful for that. The memories and good times we shared as a family were beyond compare and will remain with me forever.

You are the true secret to my success. I would not have accomplished all I have in life without you pushing me and keeping me grounded along the way.

While we said goodbye on some level a few years ago, today is more final. I miss you deeply.

I hope you are up there with the rest of our family at peace.

 The most excellent rice balls...even my mother agreed.
 Stuffed clams, a small batch made for me ...clams so chopped I wouldn’t know they were in there. 
A smile so bright it lit up the room and and a love you always felt..

Miss Lilly,
Thank you for you and for  all the precious memories,  you were a second mother to me.  I'm  grateful  I was able to be with you these last few years and to be by your side to pray with you  and to kiss you farewell.

Aunt Lil always had a smile on her face. I remember going to the Brooklyn house and she would always make sure I ate something.  She is reunited with her husband and that brings comfort. I know you will be dearly missed Aunt Lil. RIP

Lillian Darretta was my beloved Aunt and Godmother. When I moved to New York I lived with her family until I got settled. My Aunt Lil was a wonderful person who always made be feel loved. The comfort I get is she is reunited with her sister, my Mother in Heaven. I wouldn’t put it passed them to organize some poker games with the other family members who have passed.
She will be missed by all who loved her but I have no doubt she is the newest angel who will continue to love and protect her family.
