

The lifelong Dongan Hills resident graduated from Moore Catholic High School.
Ms. Jensen had a 39-year career with the NYPD, beginning in 1974 as a 911 dispatcher assigned to the communications division. She was promoted to supervisor principle administrative associate, and served on the transition team that helped upgrade the city's 911 system. She later became budget coordinator of the division. She retired in 2014.
She was a member of the Regina Coeli Society and the Advance of Civilian Empowerment Society.
Ms. Jensen volunteered for 15 years at the Conference House Association, which she also served as past president and secretary.
She enjoyed playing the lottery and scratch off tickets, going to the movies and visits to Atlantic City. She also enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.
She was fond of traveling in the tri-state area to watch her best friend Judy Cintula's son's band, "Buffalo 24." She was affectionately known by their family as "Bad Aunt Linda."
Ms. Jensen was a parishioner of St. Sylvester's R.C. Church, Concord. She also attended Holy Family R.C. Church, Westerleigh.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sylvester's Church, Concord. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Brighton.
