Lizann M. Mooney

Nursing supervisor enjoyed time with her family at the beach

Lizann Marie Mooney, 65, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island.

Born in Brooklyn, Lizann graduated from St. Saviour Catholic Academy and earned a bachelor's degree in education from St. John University.

She was a nursing staffing supervisor at Richmond University Medical Center, and was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

She enjoyed quality time with her family, especially on the beaches of Seabrook Island, Fla., Long Beach Island, N.J., and Rehoboth Beach, Del.

Lizann is survived by her husband of 40 years, John W.; children, John Jr. and Meghan; daughter-in-law, Virginia; brothers, Richard, Peter, and John Monck; sister, Alice Pause; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis Monck.

Calling is today, Friday, Dec. 13, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Casey Funeral Home. Funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Sacred Heart Church. Cremation is private.

Donations in Lizann's memory may be made to Richmond University Medical Center, Sacred Heart Church, or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
