

An Irish legend, managed McCann's in Penn Station
Manus O'Donnell, 86, born April 12, 1931, passed away on Jan. 12, 2018.
He was born in Donegal, Ireland, and immigrated to Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1961. Manus worked as a bartender / manager for 40 years at McCann's in Penn Station in Manhattan. He retired in 2000.
Manus loved spending time with his grandchildren, and spending time in his yard growing vegetables and tending to his roses. He was an usher at Blessed Sacrament Church for 30 years. Manus always traveled back to Ireland to visit relatives and friends.
Manus is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Mary; daughter, Bridget Patricia; son, Dennis; daughter-in-law, Susana, and two grandchildren, James and Colleen.
The visitation details are as follows: Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Harmon Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at 10 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1091 Forest Ave., Staten Island, N.Y.
