Marianne Effinger

Marianne graduated from former Richmond College, now the College of Staten Island with a degree in psychology. She was a loyal employee of the NYC Board of Elections for 30 years.

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three loving children, Deirdre Carroll-Morris (Joel), Chandra Carroll (Michael), and Eric Carroll (Kelly). She is also survived by her two brothers, Peter and Raymond and a sister Elizabeth. She is predeceased by her former husband Joseph Carroll, eldest brother Frank; and her parents Anna and Frank Effinger.

She will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren, Laura Harwood, Melanie Morris, Courtney, and Aubrey Carroll.

Marianne looked forward to family gatherings; especially summer and Christmas time at her son Eric Carroll's house near Charlotte, N.C.

Visitation will be at the Harmon Funeral Home (Chapel A) on June 6, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 and 7:00pm to 9:00, at 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310. A Christian Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Sylvester R.C. Church, 856 Targee Street, Staten Island, NY 10304.
