Marie G. Javois

Marie Georgene Javois -Age 89, peacefully deceased on April 16th 2026 in Staten Island New York. Formerly a resident of Mariners Harbor Staten Island for over 50 years. Marie was born to the late Ruth Consuello Jefferson and George Franklin Jefferson on April 23,1936 in Prince Frederick, Maryland. Her sisters, Lydia Hawkins, Hilda Jefferson, catherine Palmer, Ruth Foote, Sonja Parker preceded her in death. Marie was married on October 31,1962 to the late Alfred Paul Floretine Javois. She is survived by her three children, Terry, Paul and Patricia, 9 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one surviving sister, Wali Ali and numerous nieces and nephews. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Wagner College, was employed as a Registered Nurse and prior to her retirement worked for the Veterans Association in (Fort Hamilton) Brooklyn.

She was a member of Lamada Kappa Mu Sorority, a Reading Volunteer at NYC Public Schools with Staten Island Mental Health Society, and a Eucharistic Minister. She was an avid gardener, traveler, western and classic movie enthusiast.
