Mary Torres, age 91, of New Dorp, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Mary was born Maria Amalia Rodriguez Rivera on March 15, 1931, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo. She was married to the late Raymond Torres for 61 years.
Mary is survived by her two children, Madeline Bowden and John (Marilyn) Torres; her five grandchildren Christopher (Tabitha), Vincent (Amanda), James, Katrina, Kacelyn; her six great-grandchildren Sean, Casey, Claire, Alexa, Natalie, and Madeline. In addition to her husband Raymond, she is predeceased by her son-in-law Vincent Bowden.
A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308, with a funeral service from 1:30 PM.
