Michael Sheridan

Michael "Rags" Sheridan, 62, of East Stroudsburg, PA, formerly of West Brighton, Staten Island, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025. Born on February 1, 1963, in Queens, NY. Michael was the son of the late Martin and Olga Sheridan.

A devoted husband to Lisa (nee Santanello), loving father to daughters Danielle Zagari and Hailey Sheridan, beloved brother to Carol Surdej, Gregg, Martin, Sean, and the late Randy Sheridan.

Michael was always know for his honesty, outgoing personality, caring nature, and exceptional sense of humor.

An athletic enthusiast, Michael was a dedicated hockey player and baseball player in his younger years and remained passionate about his beloved NY Rangers and NY Giants. He enjoyed watching all sports, followed car racing closely, and loved relaxing to good music and movies. Above all else, he cherished the company of animals, especially his beloved dog and cats throughout the years.

Michael's warmth, laughter and kindness will leave a lasting legacy in all those fortunate enough to know him.

In the immortal words Michael cherished, "Once more into the fray, into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live and die on this day, live and die on this day."

A visitation will be held at Casey-McCallum Rice Funeral Home, located at 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308, on May 22, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A memorial mass will take place at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 644 Clawson St, New York, NY 10306, on May 23, 2025 at 10:30 am.
