Nancy Padula, 67, was born on March 4, 1959 and passed away on May 22, 2026. Nancy was born and raised in Dongan Hills, Staten Island, and remained part of the neighborhood throughout her life, a steady presence known and valued by those around her.
Nancy’s early years were shaped by Staten Island schools that helped form her grounded spirit and enduring ties to community. She attended P.S.11, Egbert Intermediate School, Susan Wagner High School, and The College of Staten Island.
In her working life, Nancy brought reliability and care to every role she held. She worked in New York City at the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company as an Administrative Assistant. In 2012, she worked for one year at the New Dorp Christian Academy Preschool, and later for two years with the New Dorp Baptist Church Latch Key program—work that reflected her genuine affection for children and her generous way of showing up for others.
Nancy also made time for the joys that brightened her days. In her younger years, she loved traveling, especially on many cruises across North America and the Carribean. Above all, she was an avid Mets fan through and through—rarely missing a game, even in the toughest stretches, and always ready to share conversation and camaraderie about the Mets with her closest friends. When she was younger, she loved playing ball on her block with friends and neighbors, a simple happiness that spoke to her warmth and easy connection with others.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Caesar and Agnes Paula. She is survived by her brother Steven and her three neices, Christine, Stephanie, and Katherine.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her friends and everyone who knew her. A loyal friend, she will be remembered for her humor, kindness, and love.
