

Patricia M. Cecero passed away on December 8th surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in Staten Island, NY to the late John and Audrey Wisienski. She lived in the Elm Park section of Staten Island while growing up. She graduated from Port Richmond High School in June of 1969, and in March of 1971, married the love of her life, Frank Cecero. They spent 54 years together. She spent most of her early married life watching and traveling with Frank while he played softball for Silvestri’s softball team. Patricia raised two sons, Frank and Daniel. When her two boys were young, she and Frank were active in Snug Harbor Little League and spent countless weekends cheering them on at their games. Later, Patricia worked for the NYC Department of Education as a secretary in its district offi ce at Petrides School and at P.S.46 in South Beach until her retirement as a secretary at I.S. 51. Patricia loved spending time with her sons, daughter-in-laws, 7 grandchildren, and her siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She planned family vacations to LBI during summers where she could enjoy the beach, barbecues, and game nights. Patricia was an avid researcher in her family’s genealogy. This was her passion and she took great pride upon learning and then sharing the fi ndings to her siblings. Patricia took great pleasure in gardening every spring. The Christmas holiday was so important to her because it involved the whole family. Patricia’s babka was a family favorite and a yearly tradition. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she delighted in purchasing gifts for her family. Once the grandchildren arrived, she made it her mission to purchase special gifts for each one.
Patricia was predeceased by parents John and Audrey and her beloved sister Mary Andella. She is survived by her husband Frank T., her sons Frank J. (Lucie) and Daniel (Melissa); grandchildren Anastasia, Frank, Daenerys, Isabella, Daniel, Charlotte, and Vincent as well as her siblings, Alex Wisienski, Elizabeth LiGreci, and Terri Carroll and sister-in-law Linda Sova.
