Patricia D. Patterson

Born Patricia Drexel in Brooklyn, she was raised at Mount Loretto, Pleasant Plains, and settled in Westerleigh in 1962.

Mrs. Patterson was an investor in family real-estate properties. She also did modeling and secretarial work when she was younger.

She volunteered for 10 years in the pediatrics ward of the former Staten Island Hospital, Tompkinsville.

"She worked tirelessly for special-needs education," her family said.

Mrs. Patterson absolutely loved piano, dance, and the joy and laughter of her many good friends and family, they added.

Roy, her husband of 44 years, died in 2001.

Surviving are her sons, Robert, Eric and Douglas; her daughter, Barbara; six grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Monday 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Arrangements include cremation.
