

Paul was born on Feb. 16, 1962, in Norwalk, Conn., to Robert R. Hagans Sr. and Geneva Wells Hagans.
Paul attended Stamford High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically in basketball and track. He earned a prestigious Jackie Robinson Scholarship.
Paul graduated from Hampton University, with a B.A. in biology and also earned a master's degree from New York Medical College. While working in his chosen profession as a respiratory therapist, Paul met his wife and on Nov. 13, 1999, married Nancy Henriquez. They had two daughters, Geneva Lilly and Sydney Rose.
Paul created a life on Staten Island that centered around his love for his family.
Through his career in the healthcare industry, to his beloved Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC), to his community and to his family, he made a difference in many lives.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Robert R. Hagans Sr. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Nancy; his daughters, Geneva and Sydney Hagans; his loving mother, Geneva Wells Hagans; his devoted brother, Robert Hagans Jr. Paul had many nephews and nieces who loved their Uncle Paul. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in- law, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday at 9 a.m. at First Central Baptist Church on Staten Island.
