Peter Camarda, age 99, of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Peter was born September 10, 1921. Peter was a decorated WWII veteran, fought with General George S. Patton decorated with a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He worked as a US Customs Inspector for 30 years .
Married for 59 yrs . to his wife Jennie ( predeceased 4/6/2006 ) . He is survived by his son Jerome , Jerome's wife Maria ( nee Wanderlingh ) , his beloved granddaughter Lauren Ashley Camarda Gatto and her husband Christopher and was predeceased by his Beloved grandson Peter D. Camarda ( 2/17/2006 ) . Dear Brother in law of Joseph and Gregoria DiMaria : many nieces and nephews and his companion of 15 years Emily Bulone .
A visitation will occur Monday, February 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Sylvester's Church, Targee Street, Staten island, NY 10304. An Entombment will occur Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Cemetery of the Resurrection, Staten Island, New York.
