

Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Graniteville in 1973.
Mr. Compagno spent 15 years driving trucks for the garment industry.
As a member of the American Motorcycle Association, he participated in several Island events, including parades and toy drives. He was also a member of Untamed MC, a motorcycle club sanctioned by the AMA. Mr. Compagnoenjoyed going to the gym, and focused a large part of his life on physical fitness and body building.
"My dad loved working out and riding motorcycles," said his son, Ciro. "He always said that in his after-life, he'd keep riding on."
His wife, Nellie, died in 1982.
In addition to his son, Ciro, he is survived by another son, Anthony; his mother, Maggie Compagno; a brother, Joseph, and one granddaughter.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in Holy Family R.C. Church, Westerleigh. Burial will follow in Silver Mount Cemetery, Silver Lake.
