Born in Orange, N.J., he was brought to New Brighton as a child.
He graduated from McKee High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1944. After that, he spent five years in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Mr. Bisogna enjoyed cooking and taking trips to Atlantic City. He also loved spending time with his family.
“He was a genuine person and a good friend with everyone he came in contact with,” said his son, Ralph.
In addition to his son, Ralph, surviving are his wife of 61 years, Josephine; two more sons, Michael and Edward; a daughter, Lois Luongo, and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Casey-McCallum-Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Assumption R.C. Church, New Brighton. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Brighton.
