Richard J. Doyle

Richard James Doyle, age 82, of Staten Island, New York passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Richard was born on December 9, 1939. He was a New York City police officer, worked in Brooklyn, and retired from SI Emergency Service Unit (1963-1983). Born in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Great Kills in 1972, he was the son of Daniel and Julia Doyle (deceased), youngest of 5 brothers Daniel, Joseph, Michael, and Edward, all deceased except Joseph. Proud father of Richard Doyle (Dawn), Robert Doyle (Virginia), Jean Marie Bacci (William), Kathleen Lombardi (Paul), Daniel Doyle (Christina), stepson Eric Mariano. Also survived by 13 grandchildren Richard, Kyle, Shannon, and Daniel, Paige and Robert, William, Taylor and Faith, Deirdre and Derick , Logan and Dylan and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by wife Maxine Edwards. A visitation for Richard will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will occur on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM in St Clare's Church, 110 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A committal service will occur Monday, May 9, 2022, at 12:15 PM in Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10309.
