I’ll always remember my Mother-in-Law, Rose,  as the glue that held everyone together. She always knew what was going on in everyone’s lives — and wasn’t afraid to tell us, whether we asked or not! Rosie had a gift for connection, always on the phone, checking in, sharing news, and keeping the family web strong.

She had that perfect mix of wanting to know everything but never overstepping. She cared deeply, and you could feel it in her warmth, her cooking, and her traditions. 

Rose made me feel welcome from the start, and I’ll miss her laugh, her stories, and the way she made everything feel like home.

I hope these past few days showed the impact you had on so many lives.  It was so nice to hear all the stories people had to share. 
For me, I will never forget our trips to Lake George and countless times at Nelly Bly growing up. So many funny memories that we were actually reminiscing  about together  only a few weeks ago. I will miss your calls just to check in and see how everyone is. You  ended every conversation with “give my boys and Andy a hug and an extra one for yourself. I love you all”. 
You will be forever missed, Nanny, but we will keep your memory alive.

Thank you for all that you’ve done for us and for loving us the way that you did. Your kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be missed by all that knew you. You set the “parenting” bar high and I hope to be the same kind of parent to Brooke that you were to Emy, Bobby and me. I’ll miss our talks every day and the fun we had watching horror movies and eating pizza. I know you’re surrounded by those that you love and loved you so I know you’re in good hands and I take great comfort in that. Thank you for being YOU.

Our deepest condolences to Aunt Rose's family.  Whenever I met Rose at family functions she always had a smile for us. Her kindness was genuine and will always be remembered. 
She has lived a very long life, and  her family can thank God that she has been around to share her long life with three generations that followed hers.

When we moved upstairs from Rose in 2012 she welcomed us warmly. We became fast friends over that summer as there were blackouts and lots of other reasons for us to stand together and talk in front of the house. That lead to coffee chats and afternoons of laughs when we would bring our giant dog to her. When we moved out I told Rose I'd stay in touch, and somehow that made us even closer. Reading the other memories here I see that she had that same effect on many people. She never forgot a detail and always sent her love to my husband and daughter. I feel very fortunate to have had Rose in my life. She will be deeply missed.

My Aunt Rose's upbeat spirit on life was contagious. Calling her was an easy way to bring light and love to your day. She had a remarkable gift for offering advice that made everything feel a little clearer. Above all, she adored her family and was so proud of everyone. Aunt Rose, thank you for being there for all of us. We love you and miss you very much!

Aunt Rose, you were a friend and loving aunt to me. We talked on the phone all the time and I would share my deepest secrets and stories from the present and past. I knew nothing I ever told you would be repeated to anyone. You had words of wisdom for me, all given with a loving heart. I’m glad we were so close - I am already missing you so much! You will be always be in my thoughts as a light in my life. I hope that when it’s my turn to leave this earth you will be there to greet me. In the meantime, please keep coming into my dreams. I love you and always will!

Condolences to the entire family. My beautiful Aunt Rose with whom I shared the same great name. I’ll never forget the love you showed me, my brother, my mom and Dad whenever we came to your house. We always were given something delicious to eat - especially your sauce and meatballs! You had a  kind heart and a beautiful smile. I had admired that you and your siblings were very close, something that was always instilled in the family. We spoke every day, a lot of times I made you laugh with all the stories that I had to tell - stories of fun times we had in the family and sometimes fun times in my life. You are in Heaven with all your loved ones now. No more pain. I will miss seeing you but you will remain in my heart until we meet again.
