Rose Roperti

Rose Roperti, lifelong Staten Islander and Dongan Hills resident, passed away on Friday, March 7, at the age of 97. She actively served her community for decades as a member of St. Ann's church - both a Eucharistic minister and member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed planning bus trips for its members and participating in weekly Mass.

She and her husband Anthony, who passed away in 2009, worked side by side at their store, The Reliable Market, on Richmond Road, for many years, until their retirement in 1986.

After retirement, Rose and Anthony enjoyed traveling and spending summers at their home in the Catskills in Cairo, NY, taking road trips exploring the northeast.

Rose is survived by her daughter Cynthia Roperti, and son Greg Roperti. She took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren Daniel Piazza (Jill) and Christina Roperti (Daniel Marsh) and Joseph Roperti, as well as with her great-grandchildren Corinne Piazza and Harrison and Caroline Marsh.

A visitation for Rose will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 101 Cromwell Ave, New York, NY 10304. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Rd, New York, NY 10306.
