With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of RoseMarie Mandarino, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on May 13, 2025, in her home in Eltingville, Staten Island, New York.
Born on November 9, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, RoseMarie lived a life marked by grace, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was married for 56 cherished years to her beloved husband, the late Lawrence Mandarino, with whom she built a beautiful life and a loving home grounded in faith, tradition, and joy.
RoseMarie is survived by her five devoted children & their spouses, ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her unconditional love, gentle spirit, and steady guidance. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy lives on in each of them.
A long-time resident of the Great Kills and Eltingville communities. RoseMarie enjoyed bowling in women's leagues , mahjong with friends and her niece Josephine. Rose received the greatest enjoyment from traveling with her husband Larry in various senior trips to AC and other bus trips. Most of all from Sunday dinners making her famous pasta meals. She was known for her kindness, quiet strength, and the warmth she extended to everyone around her. Her door was always open, her table always full, and her heart always giving.
Though she is no longer with us, the memory of RoseMarie’s love, laughter, and nurturing spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
Visitation services will be held at Casey-McCallum Rice Funeral Home, located at 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308, on May 16, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A funeral service will take place at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, St. Clare's Church, New York, NY 10308, on May 17, 2025, at 9:45 am.
The committal service will be held at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Rd, New York, NY 10306, on May 17, 2025 at 11:15 am.
