Please know that I am thinking of all of you and pray for your family’s strength. Can you imagine  staying in touch with your school teacher! Haahaa…that was Ma’am. She was always so ahead of her times and was so kind to us….this is coming from times when teachers weren’t exactly kind to students. I mean it wasn’t a requisite. And that’s how our respect for her grew so much more! I’m so happy I have a tale to tell my kiddo.  And I know her zest for life will never leave your sides.

My heartfelt condolence to dear Sreedevijis family. I am so sorry for your irreparable  loss. Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs to all.
Our bondage was through Facebook . We became so very close as if we knew eachother from childhood .
We both longed to meet each other but this  never materalised  . i am really shocked and saddened to  hear about the sudden demise of a dear friend for whom i had great respect and regards. Sreediviji  thats what i fondly call her was an amazing person. i am really privileged and lucky to have  known her  .Praying that you all will find comfort in your memories of her  and in the knowldge that  lots of her friends are missing her too.May Her Soul Rest In Peace.

This is Uthra, a former student of Mrs. Krishnan. She taught me English in my 12th grade. I have some great memories with her. I have had some meaningful, heart- warming conversations with her after class. I always used to look forward to her class everyday.  I texted her through social media a few months back and she was so happy to hear from an old student. May be I should have called her as well, and not just stop with a text. Her energetic, child-like personality stays fresh in mind, even after 23 years!

I'm shocked beyond words to hear this. My deepest condolences to Cheenu Sherry and family. Sreedevi ma'am was beyond a teacher for me. She treated all of us like her own daughter. Having shifted from a convent where the student teacher relationship meant fear and respect. Sreedevi ma'am showed that respect can come with love and affection. She was the coolest teacher of our times.  I'll always cherish the time I spent at her house with yummy food music filled with hours of chatting and laughter. She's been a huge inspiration to me as to how a teacher should be and today I try to be least a percentage of that. She was and will always be the most loved teacher for me. I really miss not having seen her or spoken to her for one last time. At a loss of words to express myself.

Lovingly called Mrs K..,aunty so loving,very talented,well dressed always. So lively...love you aunty.May your soul rest in peace. 

In my field of palliative care, anywhere in the world, one gets to meet the most compassionate and genuine human beings. Ms Sreedevi Krishnan was one such.
About four years back in San Jose, CA, when a movie “the Hippocratic” was being screened by an Australian film-making company, Moonshine Agencies, Ms Sreedevi Krishnan was a member of the audience. We connected so well with each other as human beings that I started calling her “Chechi” [meaning elder sister] and I became “brother” to her. I got to read her books which appealed to me with their intrinsic humanity and honesty, of course in addition to her very readable style of writing. She interviewed me for ‘Janani’ and now that she is a memory, I cherish those moments that she spent with me and the kind words that she had for me.
I believe every genuine smile, every single act of kindness and every bit of valuable writing for posterity, makes the world a better place. Dear Sreedevi Chechi, your parting was so painfully abrupt. Now that you are a memory, I realize how valuable your life was, a life lived truly well, spreading cheer, compassion and goodness all around you. Thank you for being in my life and for being part of Pallium India.
