We were so young when we met but somehow became immediate friends for life. I had the honor of taking care of his dad for a long time so I was accepted as a family member somehow. Lefty and my mom loved to visit. He never let me feel sorry for myself, he made me a warrior. 🙏Rest in peace, my beloved friend.

I remember meeting Tommy in a bar in lower Manhattan. "Hey kid, do you want to be in a movie?" The following weekend I was an extra in a bar scene. The day after that, I was on a balcony holding a prop gun and grabbing a lady in front of a camera. Tommy called me later that day, saying how great I was. That was him; he made me feel like a star. In the following weeks, after knowing him, we were in a pool hall playing pool with Ethan Hawke. What's a special person.

After the pandemic, I hit rock bottom—lost, empty, and barely holding on. In that darkness, my friend Tommy called me out of the blue. He didn’t just check in; he yelled at me for not reaching out, for trying to carry the weight alone. His voice was raw with care, cutting through my haze. Within 24 hours, he’d given me a place to live, food to eat, and clothes to wear. He didn’t just save me—he reminded me I was worth saving. I was lucky enough to be around him for the last two and a half years and I will cherish that time forever. As anyone who met Tommy knows, he didn't just make you feel welcomed, he made you feel like the star of the show. I can never repay him for what he has done for me. The most generous man I've ever met in my entire life. Although he was intimidating to look at if you didn't know him, the reality was he was just a big whimsical kid who radiated music, laughter and deep thought wherever he went. In death as in life Tom, talk to the guy at the door. I know if he knows I'm with you, he'll let me in.

I am really sorry for your loss. I know how close you were to your father and what an influence he had on your life. He will be missed. 
When we lose our loved ones they never die
For I know once heaven takes their souls
The Dear Lord leaves a little of them here
To turn into beautiful butterflies
So they can be near our hearts

Of the life which has gone to what is "God's Art"

A butterfly is seen at our window, sent from heaven

At a loss for words Tommy was a special man who would do anything to help others. Rest in peace my old friend

I did not know Tommy well, only meeting him every great once in a while on the street or at a gathering of friends and family - but every time was a pleasure. He was always glad to see you, with a ready smile and friendly inquiry about how you were doing. 
I offer my sincere condolences to his family, and to his beloved daughter Lucia.  May he rest in peace.

Tommy was my guardian angel when my Dad passed away 2016 he felt horrible we talked almost everyday he brought me up when I was down making me be stronger thru the years when he was diagnosed I sent him care packages monthly candy for the taste of the chemo. Something for his head when he lays down a cap of my dad you’re not getting older you’re getting wiser. We spoke every day I feel as if this shock won’t go away too fast . This man was one of a kind .he had a spiritual soul. I miss miss you ……

to my freind who while training broke my nose  and our trainer say ahhh dont worry bout it you look fine ( blood was all over the place).....thanks for helpping me champ  i miss you pal

I’m so sorry to hear of Tommy’s passing. I knew him from my previous employer Donray Printing. He was always a ray of sunshine with that amazing smile of his. I’m sure he’s smiling down from Heaven watching over you.
