

Mrs. Plymel was born at home in Statesboro, Georgia and lived most of her life in Statesboro, Georgia. Mrs. Plymel worked in the retail profession at Roses and K-Mart, but her most cherished job was taking care of her three children. Mrs. Plymel was a member of the Statesboro Church of God. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching birds and nature. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Plymel loved flowers, and growing and tending to her gardens.
She is survived by her three children; sons, Thomas W. Plymel of Monroe, Georgia, and Glenn Edwin Plymel and his wife, Laura of Statesboro, Georgia, daughter, Barbara Plymel Herb of Statesboro, Georgia, two sisters, Vivian Singley of Statesboro, Georgia and Dorothy Sellers of Orange Park, Florida, eight grandchildren, Christopher Brian Plymel, Felisha Herb Brown, Brandon James Herb, Thomas Wesley Plymel, Timothy Glenn Plymel, Dustin Thomas Herb, Michaela Lynn Plymel, Logan Jesse Plymel, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Plymel’s grandsons.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 7, 2018 in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim Huffingham officiating.
Burial will take place immediately following the service at Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Plymel’s grandsons.
