Carol Michelle Burnsed McKuhen

Carol Michelle Burnsed McKuhen, age 38, died Monday after a brief illness. She was a native of Bulloch County and lived in Meldrim for many years before moving back to Statesboro two years ago. Mrs. McKuhen was a member of Merrywood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Burnsed, her maternal grandparents, Julius and Inez Starling, and her paternal grandparents, Coy and Ollie Burnsed.

Survivors include her husband, Toney McKuhen; two daughters, Taylor McKuhen and Tori McKuhen; her mother and step-father, Barbara (Richard) Burnsed, all of Statesboro; four sisters, Missy (Craig) White of Statesboro, Mindy (Ricky) McKuhen, Gail Burnsed of Ellabell, and Darla Harrelson of Claxton; two brothers, Craig Young of Statesboro, and Coy Burnsed of Bryan County; and her mother-in-law, Billie Jean McKuhen of Meldrim. .

Visitation will be held Wednesday 6:30 until 8:30 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 P.M. In the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Will Griffith officiating.

Burial will be in the Meldrim Oak Hill Cemetery in Effingham County.
