Cecilia Elaine Jimenez

Mrs. Jimenez was born in Albion, NY and lived most of her life in Syracuse, NY before moving to Statesboro in 2006. She retired from the Dorothy Dey Shelter for Battered Women, in New York, where she worked as a counselor. She was of the Catholic faith and was preceded in death by three daughters, Debra Hamilton, Catherine Hamilton and Sondra Henderson.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Jose’ Jimenez of Statesboro; daughters, Theresa Rucker of Charleston, SC; Angela Jimenez of Statesboro and Lisa Rivera of Savannah; brother, Roger Trumble and his wife, Elaine of Michigan; sisters, Charlotte Parkhurst and Brenda Richway and her husband, Tom all of New York; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Storman Glass officiating.
