

Buddy was a native and lifelong resident of Statesboro and Bulloch County and attended Portal High School. He had worked for many years with Fairy Tale Tents and Party Rental and served as an independent contractor for several outreach centers to help people locate and enter substance abuse recovery centers. Buddy very much enjoyed writing music, poetry and helping people.
Buddy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stothard and Mary Ann Hollingsworth; paternal grandparents, Jake and Carolyn Weiss and aunts, Lisa Keaveney and Sharron Harris.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Dana Smith (Robert Wheeler); father and step-mother, Tony and Tammie Smith; sisters, Christian Smith (Josh Horton) and Bridget Hodges; brothers, Lee Hendrix and Trey Bolton; niece, Cheyenne Jackson; nephews, Landon and Lawson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2016 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Allen Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Travis Keaveney, Gage Barrow, Chris Barrow, Nathan Smith, Patrick Ivey and David Horton.
Johnathan Smoak will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
