

Len was a native and lifelong resident of Statesboro, graduated from Statesboro High School in 1974 and attended Georgia Southern College. Len worked as a salesman at Franklin Chevrolet for 17 years and owned and operated H. L. Waters Antiques, in Brooklet for 7 years. Len was a member of Brooklet United Methodist Church, a former member of The Gideons International and served as Boy Scout Leader with Troop 332 at Statesboro First United Methodist Church for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying gardening, fishing and spending time at the beach with his wife and family. He also, was a collector of Radio Controlled Airplanes, having more than 30 airplanes in his collection and was a very talented drummer. Len enjoyed cooking and grilling and most importantly was a family man who loved the Lord. Len was preceded in death by his father, Hal Coleman Waters, Sr.
Len is survived by his wife, Debbie H. Waters of Statesboro; son, Harry Waters of Statesboro; daughter, Kimberly Waters and her fiancé, Kevin M. Beitz of Lawrenceville; mother, Shirley Walters Waters of Statesboro; brothers, Hal Coleman “Cole” Waters, Jr. and his wife, Katrina of Dublin, Adam Scott Waters and his wife, Cynthia of Statesboro and John Edward Waters and his wife Angie of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Elizabeth “Beth” Waters DiPalma and her husband Frank of Lawrenceville, many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2015 in Statesboro First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mike Brown and Reverend Chip Grantham officiating.
Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Waters, Ross Waters, Trey Waters, Brett Waters, Mitchell Waters and Matthew Waters.
