

Mrs. Lois Dawn English, age 67, passed away Wednesday at her residence under the care of Odyssey Hospice. She was born in Pennsylvania and was raised in Port Wentworth, Ga.. Mrs. English enjoyed traveling. The last few years she traveled the southeast with the Statesboro Youth Chorale with her son Phillip English. She also traveled with SEB Swarm with her son Harry English.
Survivors include her husband, Dwight Allen English; her children, Paul (Amy) Stapleton, Michael (Rhonda) Stapleton, Patricia (Charles) Lynch, Kristen Rigdon, Lindsey Salazar, Harry English, Phillip English, Fred English, and Chris English; her mother, Lois Collum; three sisters, Adale Mixon, Janet Gerald, and Joyce Cole; two brothers, Oscar Collum, and George Collum; her step children, Julie Jill English Knight, Dan Knight, and Allen (Candy) English; twenty grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and her dog, Muffin.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Interment will be Friday at 3:00 P.M. in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.
