

Wanda Marie Templeton, age 85, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her immediate family on July 29, 2011. She was a native of Greenwood, Arkansas and a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church and the Agnes Kelley Sunday School Class. She was a widow of Dorris J. Templeton, who preceded her in death. Marie later married Joseph Samuel Adams of Statesboro. Joe preceded her in death after six years of marriage. In addition to being a wife and mother of three, Marie had her own career. She studied and became a LPN, a licensed real estate sales agent, and was a manger of a Federal Credit Union for Health Facilities Personnel in Florence, South Carolina.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Brenda and Michael Humphress of Statesboro, and Karen and Dee Keith of Locust Grove, Ga.; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gray Templeton, and two granddaughters.
The funeral service for Mrs. Templeton will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Wilmington, NC with Rev. Dee Keith and Rev. Joey Seabolt of Locust Grove, Ga. officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington, NC.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Wynette Ward and Connie Horseman, for the compassionate care they provided her.
