Willa Dean Anderson

Mrs. Anderson was born in Arcola and lived many years in the Denmark community before moving to Guyton, where she lived for many years. She then moved to Cherryville, NC for several years before moving to Sylvania 10 years ago. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Sylvania and was a homemaker. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Myrtle Harn White; her husband, Irwin Anderson and her brothers, Carlos White, Curtis White and Berryan White.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her daughters, Jeanine Slater and her husband, John of North Pole, Alaska and Peggy Dunn and her husband, Woody of Sylvania; grandchildren, Wesley Slater and his wife, Gigi of Fairbanks, Alaska; Jason Hinely of Pooler; Julie Weaver of Anchorage, Alaska; Christy Carlson and her husband, Robert of Anchorage, Alaska; Steven Dunn and his wife, Laura of Guyton and Shawna Costello and her husband, Michael of Republic, MO; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Elder Lavone Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Steven Dunn, Jason Hinely, Tyler Dunn, Avery Dunn, Tyler Harn and Chance Hinely.

Honorary pallbearers will be Benny White and Griffin Yarborough.
