Yvonne W. Mills

Ms. Yvonne Walden Mills, age 75, died Saturday at Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a native of Emanuel County and had lived in Statesboro for the last four years. Ms. Mills enjoyed embroidering and gardening.

Survivors include her children, Wanda Rigdon of Statesboro, Donnie Mills of Gastonia, N.C., Prenthia Luke of Statesboro and Lisa Mills of Brunswick; six sisters, Marie O'Barr of Lavonia, Bonnie Mosley of Brunswick, Doris Boatright of Swainsboro, Shirley Hollis of Rock Hill, S.C., Jackie Prather of Belvedere, S.C., and Gay Tuberville of North Augusta, S.C.; two brothers, Roy Walden of Clover, S.C., and Bobby Walden of Seneca, S.C.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday 3 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Jon Edmiston officiating.
