Annie Elizabeth White Overcash

Mrs. Annie Elizabeth White Overcash, 86, of Autumn Care and formerly of 354 Oakland Avenue, Statesville, died Friday, September 16, 2011, Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born May 15, 1925, in Iredell County, and was a daughter of the late David Lacy and Beatrice Horne White. She was a homemaker and a member of Front Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed people, going to the mountains, and playing bingo at Autumn Care.

She was preceded in death on August 31, 1996, by her husband, Mr. Arthur D. (Jim) Overcash. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include two sons, S. Wayne Overcash and his wife, Nancy, of Statesville and Dan Overcash and his wife, Judy, of Indian Trail; four grandchildren, Tracy Overcash (Alicea), Lorie Parker (Justin), Dana Overcash, and Mark Overcash; and six great-grandchildren, Rebecca Overcash, Rachel Overcash, Katelyn Parker, Kristian Parker, Lauren Westmoreland and Lindsay Westmoreland.

Services celebrating Mrs. Overcash's life will be conducted at 2:00 Monday at the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Boyer, Elder S. Wayne Overcash, Dan Overcash and the Rev. Allen White officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 Monday prior to the service.
