Anthony "Tony" Allison Whitaker

He was born April 10, 1963, in Davie County and was the son of Johnny and Sallie Whitaker. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in sales and service with S & J Scales, Inc.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny “Junior” Ray Whitaker, Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Sallie Whitaker of Statesville; two daughters; and two granddaughters.

Funeral service celebrating Tony’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Leroy England officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Iredell County Veterans Council Burial Detail.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2015, at the funeral home and at other times will be at the parents’ home, 354 Mocksville Highway.
