Mr. Billy Joe Couch

He was born August 4, 1934, in Pleasant Hill, NC, and was the son of the late King V. and Cora E. Wall Couch. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy and was a retired manufacturing supervisor. He especially enjoyed golfing and was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Kiser Couch, on October 19, 2009; and a brother, Jack B. Couch.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Nasrallah and her fiancée, John Keeler, of Taylorsville and Danette Griffith of Statesville and her friend, Ken Cunningham of Pilot Mountain; three grandchildren, Brad Anderson of Claremont, Kristina Stafford of Salisbury and Stephen Powers of Taylorsville; a brother, Tony G. Couch (Betty) of Yadkinville; and his first wife and friend, Kay Couch Reuben of Tampa, FL.

Funeral services celebrating Billy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2012, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Cloer officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM this evening (Tuesday) at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence.
