Born on December 15, 1916 in Madison County, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Jesse J. Jacobs and Ina Tuten Jacobs.
On October 18, 1936, Blanche married Guy Rufus Waugh. He preceded her in death In October 2004. They shared 68 years of married together.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Jacobs Pickles and a brother, Walter Jacobs.
She was a member of Front Street Baptist Church, where she was involved with the seniors group. She also was a member of the Jolly Elders Club in West Iredell and retired from Jantzen.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dwight Douglas Waugh (Martha), Keith Clayton Waugh (Joanne) and Sharon Waugh Gibson (Roger); three grandchildren, Crystal Brunner (Richy), Roger Gibson, II (Yan) and Joshua Gibson (Allison Lowe); one step-grandson, Rod Millirons; seven great- grandchildren, Calley Locke, Clayton Locke, Jacob Gibson, Emily Gibson, Leah Gibson, William Gibson and Richy Brunner; two great-great grandchildren, Connor and James Gelsinger and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will speak to friends Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim Stutts officiating.
