

Born in Iredell County on January 11, 1922, he was the son of the late Lutcher Byne Anderson and Sallie Wooten Anderson. Also preceding him in death are two brothers and one sister.
On March 7, 1943, Mr. Anderson married the former Flossie Ellen Caldwell, who survives. He retired from the City of Statesville on April 1, 1987. He also was a farmer.
He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and superintendent.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his six children, Doris (James) Triplett, Peggy Anderson, Marie “Bossie” (Larry) Miller, Harold “Hammer” (April) Anderson, Barbara “Cricket” (Edgar) Barnette and Patsy (Raymond) Burnette. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces and one brother, Boyd Anderson and one sister-in-law, Mary Anderson (Marvin) of Charleston, SC.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, March 7, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
The funeral service honoring “BB” will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home, with Rev. Bobby Henderson and Rev. Chris Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be his Grandsons, David Triplett, Chris Miller, Eddie Barnette, Shane Barnette, Brandon Anderson, Chase Anderson and Travis Burnette.
