

Born May 27, 1942 in Wolfe County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William Booth and Elsie Napier Booth.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilson Booth and Robert Booth; one sister, Hazel Booth and one grandson, Dallas Clay Booth.
Mr. Booth was known as being a simple man, who never had a harsh word to say. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and provider for his family. He was always willing to help someone in need and could repair anything, tinkering with it till it was fixed. He enjoyed selling at flea markets, hunting while visiting his home on Booth Ridge and fishing.
Mr. Booth retired from Clark Equipment after 34 years of service.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Elizabeth Brewer Booth of the home; two sons, Kenneth Clay Booth (Lori) of Jackson, Michigan and Charles Steven Booth (Tara) of Statesville; one daughter, Kathy Jean Miller (Randy) of Statesville; one sister, Geneva Pounders; eleven grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Booth, Savannah Melanie Booth, Cody Clay Booth, Trenton Michael Booth, Amber Marie Booth, Cameron Scott Booth, Timothy Robert Christian, Brandon Joel Power, Benjamin Ford Miller, Amber Nicole Miller and Jamie Nicole Miller and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and several very dear and close friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
