Clifford Woodrow Beaver

He was born January 30, 1923, in Iredell County, and was the son of the late Robert Marvin and Ada Belle Kluttz Beaver. He retired after many years of service from Burlington Industries in Mooresville and was also a farmer. He attended Faith Baptist Church where he was a member of the Senior Pioneers. Clifford was a very generous and giving person who always sought to help others and share the love of Christ with them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 1994 by his first wife, Mae Nell Freeze Beaver; a daughter, Pat Wilson; a son, Ronnie Beaver; a step-daughter, Glenda Sue Upright; a sister, Ella Mae Hollifield; and three brothers, Robert Lee Beaver, Grady Brown Beaver, and John Lewis Beaver.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Carolyn “Carol” Martin Beaver whom he married in 1995; a son, Lonnie Beaver (Janice) of Mooresville; two step-sons, Timothy Upright and Barry Upright (Veronica), both of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Timothy “Tim” Beaver (Cami), Melissa Lambert, Robin Freeze, Cynthia Wilson, Tammy Dockery (Ray), and Kelly Beaver; a special granddaughter whom he raised, Holly Upright Morrison (Bobby) of Cleveland; three step-grandchildren, Travis and Chelsea Upright and Nathaniel Rackley; eight great-grandchildren; and Papa’s little buddy, Aiden Cordona. He is also survived by three sisters, Odessa B. Stutts (Robert) of Clemmons, Thelma B. Brown (Gene) of Sherrills Ford, and Naomi B. Kiser (Jack) of Cleveland.

Funeral services celebrating Clifford’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Crawley and the Rev. Terry Martin officiating. Burial will follow at West Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church and at other times will be at the residence.
