She was born October 18, 1920 in Catawba County to Jacob and Pearl Stewart Winters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Junior Hoke, brother Eulan Winters, George Winters, Olin Winters, Durant Winters, and David Winters all of Catawba County.
Surviving are her son, Robert Fred Hoke, daughter in law Jane Alexander Hoke, Clemmons, NC ; grandchildren Jonathan Alexander Hoke (Terri), Advance, NC ; Jennifer Hoke Harrell (Mark), Roswell, Ga; five great grandchildren, Spencer Hoke of Boone, NC, Benjamin and Laurin Hoke of Advance, NC and Jackson and Maggie Harrell, Roswell, GA ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hoke was a member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church in Statesville, NC. She worked for 21 years at Beauty Maid Mills in Statesville and enjoyed working in her flowers, sewing and quilt making.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 16th 2019 at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church in Statesville. Services will be conducted by Pastor Will Dulin at 2pm. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the funeral at the Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, 106 Mt. Hermon Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
