Eileen Mary Bader

Eileen Stevenson Bader, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on May 23, 1955, in Bergen County, New Jersey to the late Thomas Joseph Stevenson and Patricia Devine Stevenson.

Eileen was an avid reader; she liked to watch farm shows on her phone and was a fan of the TV show "Bluebloods". She only ever wore Wind Song perfume, loved Yankee Candles, and no matter what season it was you’d always find her rocking her clogs. She had a fondness for cheese and always said she never met a cheese she didn’t like. She would spend time both bird and cloud watching, and was able to find any shape in the clouds. She loved hummingbirds and goats, and playing cards with her grandkids, but most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Bader, of Statesville; her son, Matt Bader, and his wife Alicia of Durham; her daughters, Emily Wynne and her husband Justin of Vernon, New Jersey, Celia Bader of Elgin, South Carolina, and Molly Bader of Lincoln, Nebraska. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas, Patrick, Michael, and Jim Stevenson; her sisters, Barbara Stevenson and Katy Rundle; and her grandchildren, Cash Kirby, Dawson Kirby, Eleanor Wynne, Lucy Wynne, and Thomas Wynne.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Susan Stevenson.
