Frank Anderson Lackey

Born January 17, 1937 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Karl Anderson Lackey and Helen Clarke Lackey.

Mr. Lackey graduated from North Carolina State University in 1958 with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture. He was a farmer in the West Iredell community and was not a stranger to anyone. He was a friend to all and will be missed greatly.

Mr. Lackey served in the United States Army and attended Shiloh Presbyterian Church.

Frank loved his family, especially his grandsons in whom he was very proud. He was a great husband, father and grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Houser Lackey; daughter, Mary Lynn Bullins (John); son, Andy Lackey (India); five grandsons, Brian and Kyle Bullins, Drew, Devin and Christian Lackey; one sister, Mary Rhyne Bustle (Jerry) and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Ron Karriker officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
