Mr. Franklin Joffre Mitchell, 72, of 210 Myers Mill Rd. Statesville, died Wednesday evening at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Iredell County on August 25, 1939, he was a son of the late Z. Z. Mitchell and Myrtle Cash Mitchell. He was a former cabinet maker.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Marvin (Fannie) Henderson of Statesville and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 Saturday at Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. J. C. Parks officiating. The family will speak with friends following the service at the cemetery. At other times they will be assembled at the home of Marvin and Fannie Henderson at 311 N. Oakland Ave. Statesville.
