

Born in Iredell County on September 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Turner Burke Johnson and Ila Martin Johnson.
Mrs. Stikeleather retired from Hunt Manufacturing Company where she was a supervisor.
On January 23, 1946, she married her husband of 63 years, Charles E. Stikeleather. He preceded her in death in January 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded by one brother, Charles Johnson and one sister, Maxine Johnson.
Geneva was a member of Front Street Baptist Church where she along with her husband taught the Juniors Sunday School class and was a member of the Mary Cannon Circle.
She loved doing cross word puzzles and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dianne Brown (Jerry) of Union Grove and Joyce S. Adams (Lynn) of Monroe, NC; two sisters, Helen Neil of Charlotte and Betty Davis of Statesville; one sister-in-law, Louise Johnson; five grandchildren, Barbara Sharpe (Wayne), Scottie Brown (Tara), Michael Brown, Sandi Wooten (Gray) and Kenny Reavis (Dani).
Mrs. Stikeleather is further survived by three great-grandchildren, Josh Sharpe, Jacob Sharpe and Lilly Wooten and three step-great grandchildren, Brandi Black, Tracy Black and Jeffrey Black.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home and Friday, January 30, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM prior to the funeral service which will begin at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of Front Street Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Stutts officiating.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Iredell Memorial Gardens following the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scottie Brown, Michael Brown, Gray Wooten, Kenny Reavis, Josh Sharpe and Jacob Sharpe.
