Gloria Lorraine Davis Johnson

Mrs. Gloria Lorraine Johnson, 60, of 115 Brookhollow Dr. Statesville, died June 16, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness. Born in Dover, New Jersey on March 27, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Guy Richard Davis and Marie Waldron Davis. She was an avid New York Mets Baseball fan and enjoyed playing cards, reading, crochet and formerly enjoyed swimmiing. She was a graduate of Dover High School. She was married to her husband, Mr. Raymond Johnson, who survives, for 34 years.

Also surviving are her children, George Johnson and his wife, Kendra Kirkman of Winston-Salem, Shelly Luff of Sanford, Fla., Renee Sarno of Redding, Calif. and Jay Pollard and his wife, Michelle, of Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey. Also surviving are her step children: Judy Danilowski and her husband, Walter and Susan Leary and her husband, Richard all of Pennsylvania, and Wanda Conklin and her husband, Glenn of New Jersey. along with sisters: Anna Hall, of North Carolina, Patricia Monaco of New Jersey and Betty Hendershot of Pennsylvania and brothers, Dale Davis and Harry Davis both of New Jersey and Joseph Davis of Pennsylvania. Additional survivors include 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Services celebrating Mrs. Johnson's life will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen Miller officiting. The family will then receive friends following the service at the residence.
